Knight Center offers MOOC on internet, technology reporting [Latin America, Spain]

Journalists covering technology are invited participate in this four-week course in Spanish.

The Knight Center for Journalism in the Americas, through its Massive Open Online Course (MOOC), hosts the free course “How to cover internet and tech issues beyond shiny gadgets” July 27 to Aug. 23.

The course is divided into four modules: how to write relevant technology stories; how the internet works; who owns and who protects our data; and information safety.

The main instructor is Argentine journalist and author Natalia Zuazo.

The course is accessible to anyone with an internet connection. Participants may complete the weekly activities at their own pace. A certificate of completion will be available to those who meet all the course requirements, at a cost of US$30.
