Local news organizations can apply for this program
FRONTLINE's Local Journalism Initiative is calling for proposals from local newsrooms pursuing enterprise projects.
The selected organizations will receive an annual salary for a reporter, reporting resources, editorial guidance, advice from FRONTLINE’s audience development team and support for training.
A total of five organizations will be selected on the basis of the strength of the proposed investigation; the geographic diversity of the news organizations; and representation of racial/ethnic diversity on the reporting team and/or coverage area.
The deadline is July 31.
