Journalists and students can apply for an internship in Bonn, Germany.

Deutsche Welle (DW) offers two internship programs in its Portuguese for Africa newsroom: one for journalists with professional experience and the other for university students from the European Union.

The internship for professional journalists does not require EU citizenship. Candidates must be fluent in Portuguese and have basic English or German skills and professional experience in journalism, including broadcasting.

The internship for college students requires a valid visa to study in Germany or citizenship from one of the countries of the European Union. In addition to speaking Portuguese, candidates must have good English or German skills and basic journalism experience.

Internships last two to three months.

Trainees receive a monthly stipend but must cover their travel costs.

The deadline is June 30.
