Women writers and journalists can apply to attend this free program.
The African Women’s Development Fund (AWDF) will host the African Women Writers Workshop Oct. 21 to 30 in Ghana.
The program will focus on writing about women’s rights and social justice. Participants will be expected to read from assigned selected texts and complete daily writing exercises.
Applicants must be from the African region or the diaspora, be a feminist or women’s rights activist, have high proficiency in English and be an experienced writer.
The organizer will cover travel, meals, accommodations and training materials. Participants from the diaspora may be required to pay part of the cost of airfare depending on the budget·
