Journalists from all beats who participated in an ICFJ program can apply for this grant.
The International Center for Journalists (ICFJ), in partnership with the Microsoft Modern Journalism program, will award four grants for six-month reporting projects focusing on data journalism and immersive technology.
The next call is for immersive storytelling projects.
Proposals must be creative projects that emphasize personal experiences, including live-streamed interviews or events, 360-degree video experiences, interactive games or data-driven projects.
Winners will receive US$7,500 and hands-on training in tools and techniques, plus instruction in relevant Microsoft technologies.
The resulting stories may be published in any language but should also be available in English before Oct. 31.
The deadline to apply is April 26.
