Galápagos Newsmaking program launched [Brazil]

Students and graduates from any area interested in producing journalistic content on digital platforms can enroll in this free course to be held July 21 to Aug. 1 in São Paulo.

Startup Galápagos Newsmaking offers its first journalism course with the goal of training journalists outside the main centers in Brazil and creating a network of collaborators.

The course will cover topics such as media ethics, fact-checking, false news, counter-narrative, podcasts, interview techniques, video editing, entrepreneurship, audience behavior trends and more.

A total of 200 candidates will be chosen for an interview. The 30 best applicants will attend the course in São Paulo and the remaining 170 will have access to course materials via video.

The organizer will provide travel, lodging and meals for participants from outside São Paulo.

The deadline is April 30.
