Free training focuses on reporting on sensitive topics [Central Asia]

Journalists from Central Asia with at least three years of work experience can apply for this program.

The Institute for War and Peace Reporting in Central Asia (IWPR CA) accepts applications for training on conflict-sensitive journalism.

Topics include different aspects of conflict-sensitive journalism, international standards for covering religion, media ethics, etc.

The workshops will take place Jan. 22 to 25 in Taraz, Kazakhstan, Jan. 28 to 31 in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, and Feb. 6 to 9 in Dushanbe, Tajikistan.

The program will be held in Russian, so participants must be fluent in Russian. Fluency in English is a plus.

The organizers will cover all training-related expenses.

The application deadline for training in Taraz is Jan. 14, for training in Bishkek, Jan. 21 and in Dushanbe, Jan. 28.
