Media workshop on pollution and health [South & Southeast Asia]

Journalists from South and Southeast Asia can apply for this two-day workshop on air and plastic pollution and health.

​Sunway Centre for Planetary Health, in collaboration with Global Climate and Health Alliance, Global Strategic Communications Council, Health Care Without Harm, Internews, and Monash University Malaysia, is organizing the "Capacity Development and Training Workshop Series for Media Professionals: Air and Plastic Pollution and Health" to be held between June 4–5 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The two-day workshop aims to enhance media professionals' abilities to report on the complex links between air and plastic pollution and their impacts on human and planetary health.​

The workshop will feature interactive sessions, expert-led dialogues and a practical simulation exercise. Participants will also benefit from networking opportunities with fellow journalists, experts and policymakers from across the region. 

Selected participants will receive funding to cover flights, travel costs, accommodation and meals.

Applicants must have demonstrable interest in environmental or health journalism.​ Priority will be given to ASEAN applicants with a focus on health or environmental journalism.
