The Barão de Itararé Center for Alternative Media Studies and the Inter Press Service (IPS) agency are hosting the first edition of the International Seminar on Communication and Latin American Integration, September 20-22 in São Paulo, Brazil. Sessions will be livestreamed.
Sessions will discuss topics such as challenges for democracy in Latin America, lessons and challenges for public and grassroots communication, initiatives for strengthening independent media, digital sovereignty, platforms regulation and fighting disinformation.
Registration fee is BRL150 for in-person attendance and BRL60 for remote participants.
