Posted on Feb 28, 2024 发表在 Specialized Topics

Journalists, editors and final year journalism students residing in Latin America may apply for this online training in Spanish.

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and the Central University of Chile, with the support of the National Press Association (ANP), are organizing the course "Periodismo sin etiquetas" ("Journalism Without Labels"), which will be conducted from March 18 to April 26.

The program aims to train journalists and students in professional practices that are sensitive to diversity and promote intercultural dialogue. The modules will explore human mobility and the construction of hate speech, racism and xenophobia in the media, as well as how to cover migration flows and related issues through new narratives.

The training is free of charge. The deadline to apply is March 7.
