Undergraduate and master's degree students in the Arab world can apply.
The Arab Reporters for Investigative Journalism (ARIJ) is seeking applications for Arab university students to attend the ARIJ 17th Annual Forum, in person.
The competition aims to shed light on the obstacles faced by independent journalism and the challenges that prevent journalists from performing their work freely.
Applicants must submit in-depth reports based on verified information, written in Arabic, and published on a website, university magazine, or even the student’s personal page on a social media platform.
The topics include restrictions that hinder journalists in carrying out their duties, such as economic, political, social, access to information, and more.
Three winners will have the opportunity to attend the ARIJ 17th Annual Forum, in Amman, Jordan Dec. 6 to 8.
The deadline for applications is Sept. 30.
