Journalists and other expert media practitioners can compete for a grant.

The Earth Journalism Network (EJN) is accepting proposals for Asia-Pacific Investigative Environmental Story Grants.

Story proposals should focus on one of these topics: wildlife trafficking, land clearing, extractive industries, ocean pollution or air pollution. EJN is particularly interested in stories that uncover corruption, address the safety of environmental defenders and call out business practices that are impacting negatively on the environment.

Applicants must provide a detailed budget with justification for the amount requested. Stories can be produced in any language.

The grant competition is open to journalists in South Asia, Southeast Asia, East Asia and the Pacific region but not Australia or New Zealand.

Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis with deadlines updated quarterly. The next deadline is March 31.
