Poynter offers training on arts coverage [US]

Journalists interested in arts reporting can apply for this free training.

Poynter is organizing "How to cover the arts on any beat" May 5 to 7 in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Participants will learn creative and sustainable approaches to incorporating arts coverage in business, features and breaking news stories.

The program will be led by Tom Huang, assistant managing editor at the Dallas Morning News, and others.

Accepted applicants will receive most meals, two nights in a hotel and a partial travel stipend.

The deadline is April 5.
