Professional and citizen journalists, digital entrepreneurs and technologists from Honduras and Panama can apply for this program.
The International Center for Journalists (ICFJ), with the support of the Professional Fellows Program, is offering the program "A Digital Path to Entrepreneurship and Innovation for Latin America" Oct. 12 to Nov. 19 in the United States.
The aim of the program is to help participants launch digital media products in their own countries or develop business models to make existing projects more sustainable. Fellows visit digital media organizations, receive hands-on training on digital tools and techniques and discuss their digital media project proposals with media entrepreneurs.
This program will also spotlight the United States’ diversity and culture by immersing the fellows in their host communities through homestay experiences. The training will conclude with a Professional Fellows Congress in Washington.
Fluency in English is required.
The deadline to apply is May 15.
