Early- to mid-career editors, writers, researchers and/or journalists across Africa can apply for a remote fellowship.
The Republic is offering the Black Atlantic Editorial Fellowship. This six-month program is designed towards the commissioning, writing and curation of stories rooted in Blackness and the African experience.
Five fellows will be selected. They will receive mentorship and editorial support to commission original writing, produce original written content and curate local conversations around the most urgent themes shaping the African experience.
Fellows will receive a monthly stipend of US$500.
The deadline is Aug. 3.
