The Asian Development Bank (ADB) is hosting the webinar "Key Indicators for Asia and the Pacific 2024 Launch" on Aug. 22 to discuss insights from its latest research on Key Indicators in relation to climate action. It is the latest instalment of ADB's Asian Impact webinar series, which showcases ADB’s research work and informs debate on critical policy issues in Asia.
Panelists will highlight the importance of granular data in capturing the nuanced effects of climate change on different regions and communities and explore policies and strategies for enhancing data systems to foster inclusive and sustainable development.
The webinar will be co-presented by Arturo Martinez, Jr. and Yating Ru from ADB's Economic Research and Development Impact Department. The panelists include: Margarita Guerrero, Former Director, Statistics Division, United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP); Simon Høiberg Olsen, ADB's SDG Implementation Consultant, Strategy and Policy Department; Albert Park, ADB's Chief Economist and Director General of Economic Research and Development Impact Department; and Evelyn Wareham, Manager, Statistics Leadership, Governance and Use, Pacific Community.
