Non-fiction filmmakers with Hong Kong connections can compete for an award that grants funding for their film projects.

Eye Catcher Global 2024, a project of Renaissance Foundation, is hosting the International Pitching Forum from June 20 to 21. It aims to introduce film projects with great potential and Hong Kong elements.

Filmmakers can submit projects in four categories: In-Development Projects (Short Film), Work-in-Progress Projects (Short Film), In-Development Projects (Feature-Length Film) and Work-in-Progress Projects (Feature-Length Film).

One winner will be selected from each category. Through the Open Pitch session, shortlisted film projects will compete for the four awards with cash prizes and participate in one-on-one meetings with the international and local industry delegates.

Two in-development projects will be awarded HKD20,000 to HKD50,000 each, and two work-in-progress projects will be awarded HKD30,000 to HKD80,000 each.

To be eligible for submission, one of the key creative members (director/producer/screenwriter) must be a Hong Kong resident or the story must feature Hong Kong elements.

Apply by March 3.
