In partnership with the Embassy of the Netherlands in Vietnam and the NOOR Foundation, the Asia-Europe Foundation is hosting a roundtable and exhibition, "Framing the Future: Photography's Influence on Climate Awareness in Southeast Asia" on Nov. 1. The roundtable will discuss the impact of photography as a medium to raise awareness about the climate crisis in Southeast Asia. The event is part of Asia-Europe Cultural Festival 2023.

The conversation will feature a panel of photographers, journalists, and scientists who will delve into the pivotal role photography has in shaping the narrative of the climate crisis in Southeast Asia. Speakers include Stefano Carini, creative director, NOOR Foundation; Jittrapon Kaicome and Ponita Keo, both photographers and participants of NOOR Visualizing Climate Crisis program; Linh Pham, mentor of NOOR Visualizing Climate Crisis Program; David Fogarty, climate change editor, The Straits Times; and Dr. Matthias Roth, professor of Urban Climatology, National University of Singapore.

The discussion will be complemented by a digital exhibition featuring photographs that capture the profound impact of the climate crisis in Southeast Asia.
