Journalists can register to attend a free virtual workshop on climate justice.
The Institute for Journalism & Natural Resources (IJNR) will host a virtual workshop on climate justice and environmental racism. The workshop will explore the intersection of climate impacts and environmental justice.
The program will focus on the ways a changing climate exacerbates historic injustices and provide examples of the people and places working toward a more just and equitable future. Topics include federal efforts to address historic inequity and promote social justice, access to clean drinking water, heat waves and public health, and more.
Twenty-five journalists will be selected to participate in the workshop. Priority will be given to journalists of color.
The two-day workshop will be held Nov. 17 to 18.
The deadline is Nov. 1.
