YouTube’s Sustainability Lab open [Worldwide]

Small, digital-first news organizations that produce high-quality, original reporting can apply for funding.

The Google News Initiative is accepting candidates for the next round of YouTube’s Sustainability Lab.

Participants will receive a grant to strengthen their digital video capabilities for the long term, support from YouTube specialists and the opportunity to learn from other organizations in the program.

Google will fund selected projects up to US$200,000. Selected organizations will partner with YouTube to develop publicly available case studies and best-practice playbooks from their projects, 

Applicants must be based in one of the following countries: Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Canada, United States, Belgium, Egypt, France, Germany, Iraq, Italy, Jordan, Lebanon, Netherlands, Nigeria, Poland, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Spain, Tunisia, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom; Australia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Philippines, South Korea and Taiwan.

The deadline is May 31.
