Publicado em Dec 2, 2024 em Environmental Reporting

Journalists based in Colombia, Brazil, Ecuador and Peru may apply for these grants.

Internews’ Earth Journalism Network and the Internews Americas team, in partnership with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS), are offering grants to help produce high-quality, factual, and engaging reporting on the impacts of conservation crimes and highlight viable community-led and policy-driven solutions to mitigate these impacts.

Applications are open to journalists working in any medium (online, print, television, radio) and other expert media practitioners with professional reporting experience.

The organizers expect to award up to 40 grants, ranging from US$1,500 to US$2,000. Recipients will also participate in mentoring sessions.

The resulting works must be completed by August 2025.

The deadline is Jan. 9, 2025.
