Journalists with less than five years of experience can apply for this program in New York.

The New York Times, in partnership with the National Center on Disability and Journalism at Arizona State University, has launched the Disability Journalism Fellowship.

The fellow will report specifically on stories that illuminate and explain issues facing people living with disabilities in the United States.

Preference will be given to applicants who also have experience living with a disability or who have developed a deep understanding of disability issues.

The deadline is March 31.
