Sixth Tone is looking for a reporter and an editor to join its news team.
The reporter will pitch and write news stories as well as conduct interviews and on-the-spot reporting when needed. Candidates must have native or native-level Chinese, strong English writing ability and a good knowledge of Chinese economic and political developments. One to three years of relevant work experience is required.
The editor will help decide which stories to pursue and edit news stories, in addition to supporting other teams with their editing needs. Candidates must have three to five years of experience, ideally with China-focused media, be native English speakers and have a keen understanding of Chinese society and culture.
