Contest highlights student reporting on environmental issues [US]

Undergraduate, graduate and high-school students can compete for this new award. 

The Society of Environmental Journalists (SEJ) has launched the Ray Reece Excellence in Environmental Journalism Student Award, as part of its annual recognition of excellence in environmental reporting.

Works must have been published, aired or produced in a media outlet accessible to the general public between March 1, 2018 and Feb. 28, 2019. 

The first and second place winners will receive US$500 and US$250, respectively, as well as travel and registration to attend SEJ's 29​th​ Annual Conference in Fort Collins, Colorado.

The deadline is April 1.
