Contest seeks journalistic works on human rights issues [Armenia]

Journalists and photographers can enter a contest focusing on the human rights situation in closed institutions, special schools and special care institutions as well as in the army of Armenia.

The Public Journalism Club (PJC), in partnership with Armenia's Investigative Reporters, is hosting the contest as part of the project "A public glimpse into a closed world: human rights situation in closed institutions in Armenia," financed by the European Union and co-funded by the Open Society Foundations.

Works can be in Armenian, Russian or English and must have been published or broadcast in print, podcast, radio, TV, online or multimedia formats from Nov. 15, 2018 to Sept. 15, 2019.

The categories include investigative reporting, feature/human story, TV report, TV reportage, radio material/podcast, online story, multimedia story and photostory.

Winners will receive monetary rewards as well as non-monetary prizes.

The deadline is Sept. 15.
