The Sharjah Art Foundation (SAF) is seeking a Film Program Manager to oversee its dynamic year-round film activities, including the Sharjah Film Platform (SFP)—the foundation’s annual film festival—and other related activities.
The film program manager will be responsible for working closely with the vice president and other senior members of the foundation to develop a long-term road map to the film program. They will be also tasked with writing and editing texts related to the film program, including synopses and other promotional material, and for coordinating with various teams within the foundation—such as editorial, translation and design—for all published texts and images, both online and offline.
Successful applicants should hold a master’s degree in film studies, fine arts or a related field, with more than five years of experience in film programming or curation. They should also have a strong knowledge of global film landscapes and industry networks, proven experience in team management, budgeting and program development, as well as excellent communication, organizational and writing skills.
