Journalists from Asia and Europe, with experience reporting on the environment, can apply for this in-person workshop.

In collaboration with the Alliance to End Plastic Waste, the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) is organizing the 2025 ASEF Workshop for Journalists on the “Challenges of Dealing with Plastic Waste.” The workshop will facilitate a deeper understanding among journalists of the challenges and responses to managing plastic waste.

The workshop features sessions covering multiple topics and includes two site visits, providing journalists with insights into the complexities of plastic pollution, how it impacts people’s lives and how countries are tackling it.

Twenty journalists from Asia and Europe will be selected to participate and have the opportunity to engage with experts, NGOs and other stakeholders.

The workshop will be held in Singapore from May 19 to 22.

Organizers will cover seminar fees, accommodation and return airfare for the selected participants.

Interested applicants should be citizens of the 51 ASEM partner countries and have a proven track record of reporting on environmental issues.

Apply by Jan. 26.
