DW Akademie Latin America is looking for experts for a project in Panama, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic and Ecuador.
The project seeks to enhance legal protection for journalists, particularly women and independent media. It aims to build the capabilities of governmental bodies, civil society organizations and media actors to detect and counter disinformation campaigns.
DW will hire a team leader who will manage and coordinate the implementation of the contract and project activities. This position is full-time and will be based primarily in Panama. The project has a duration of 36 months. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in project management, particularly with projects funded by the EU, related to media and capacity building for both state and non-state actors.
DW is also looking for senior and junior experts for short-term activities on topics such as media policy and legal frameworks, international standards on press freedom, regulatory mechanisms for information and communication (including the digital space); media consumption analysis; trend analysis, narratives, tactics, techniques and procedures of disinformation (including data analysis), and more.
