Publicado em Aug 30, 2024 em Environmental Reporting

Journalists from and based in Malaysia, Brunei, Timor Leste, Indonesia, Singapore and the Philippines can apply for this hybrid fellowship.

Internews' Earth Journalism Network (EJN) is launching its second fellowship for journalists in Southeast Asia and offers training and story grants for reporting on infrastructural development and its impacts on the environment and human rights.

Sixteen journalists from the region will be selected to participate in a series of online training sessions (10 hours) and a two-day in-person workshop in November. EJN will cover the travel, accommodation and meals of selected participants.

Participants who successfully complete the training will subsequently be eligible to apply to receive story grants (with an average budget of US$2,000 each) and be closely mentored by experts as they research and investigate their stories.

Early- and mid-career professionals, as well as women and Indigenous journalists, are encouraged to apply.

Apply by Sept. 30.
