Journalism students enrolled at colleges and universities in the United States can apply for a fellowship.
The Google News Initiative, in partnership with Poynter, is offering the Misinformation Student Fellowship. The program focuses on combating mis- and disinformation in communities.
Fellows will work in local newsrooms on projects aimed at curbing the spread of misinformation and promoting digital literacy at the community level and among the younger generation.
Selected fellows will receive a US$10,000 stipend.
The deadline is July 21.
