Journalist and civil society advocates from Latin America may apply for this free, online training in Spanish.
The International Center for Journalists (ICFJ), in partnership with the Border Center for Journalists and Bloggers (BCJB), is offering trainings on digital security. The goal is to help journalists and civil society advocates in the region protect their information, data, devices and communications against digital security risks. This initiative is supported by the Meta Journalism Project
The training includes a 90-minute self-led online course —available on Nov. 7— and four webinars in which participants will learn essential digital security practices and tools, techniques for dealing with harassment, how to counter targeted phishing, and how to cover social unrest and violence.
