Journalists residing in Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic can enter this contest in Spanish.
The Executive Secretariat of the Central American Monetary Council launches the first Central American Monetary Council Economic Journalism Award. The contest aims to encourage and recognize quality reporting on economic and financial issues related to the participating countries.
Print, audiovisual and digital works published or broadcast between Jan. 1, 2022 and Oct. 27, 2022 will be accepted. Covered topics may be post-pandemic economic recovery, challenges of economies in a context of inflation, dynamics of remittances during the health crisis, and more.
The winner will receive US$2,000.
The deadline is Oct. 28.
