Environmental justice reporting grants for young journalists [Asia Pacific]

Publicado em Sep 16, 2022 em Environmental Reporting

Journalists under 30 from low- and middle-income countries in the Asia Pacific region can apply for grants.

With the support from the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida), Internews’ Earth Journalism Network (EJN) is offering up to 20 reporting grants to young journalists in the Asia Pacific region. The grants will support the production of innovative and in-depth stories on environmental and climate injustice in the region.

Journalists are encouraged to explore underreported environmental injustice issues while amplifying the voices of youth and vulnerable groups. Stories that report on potential solutions and highlight how vulnerable communities are responding to environmental challenges will be preferred.

Selected journalists will receive grants of US$1,000 each.

Interested applicants should pitch their story ideas in the form of a short video.

Apply by Oct. 17.
