ARIJ launches Right to Safety fellowship [MENA]

Arab journalists and journalism graduates can apply for this two-month fellowship.

In collaboration with Free Press Unlimited (FPU) and International Media Support (IMS), the Arab Reporters for Investigative Journalism (ARIJ) is launching a new EU-funded fellowship for in-depth reports on the right to safety.

The Right to Safety fellowship, which runs Jun. 22 to Aug. 22, includes training in physical and digital safety, remote meetings, and production of a professionally researched and conceived report.

Seven excelling participants will have the opportunity to attend the 15th ARIJ Annual Forum in Amman Jordan in December 2022 and take part in a “Hackathon” that focuses on the “Right to Safety” for Journalists from the region.

Applications are open to journalists from Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Palestine, Egypt, Libya, Algeria, Tunisia and Morocco.

The deadline is Jun. 8.
