The Press Freedom Speaker Series event, co-hosted by the International Women's Media Foundation and The Washington Post Press Freedom Partnership, organizes the webinar "Truth and Consequences: The Cost of Reporting on Russia and Post-Soviet Countries" that will be streaming at 12 p.m. EDT Aug. 26.
During the webinar, The Washington Post's Mary Jordan will speak with 2015 IWMF Courage in Journalism Award winner Anna Nemtsova. They will discuss the current media landscape in Russia, and Anna will share why she has persisted in holding power to account through her reporting.
Registration is ongoing. Participation is free, but the organizers ask participants to financially support their project.
