Journalists and newsrooms across the United States can apply.

The News Leaders Association is accepting applications for two opportunities.

The U.S. Press Freedom Accountability Project, a program in collaboration with the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ), is providing US$2,000 to US$5,000 grants for newsrooms reporting on threats to journalists in the United States. Apply as early as possible.

The First Amendment Award recognizes the best examples of journalism on protecting or advancing Freedom of Information principles or overcoming significant resistance to the application of the First Amendment. The winner will receive US$1,000. The deadline is April 23.
