Southerly seeks contributing editor [US]

Experienced editors based in the Southern United States can apply for this six-month, remote position.

Southerly, a nonprofit magazine sponsored by the Institute for Journalism and Natural Resources (IJNR), is looking for a contributing editor.

Responsibilities include editing and copyediting three to four stories per month as well as working with freelance reporters on stories about ecology, justice and culture in the American South.

Candidates must have experience editing stories from and for communities of color and rural and low-income communities. 

The deadline is Nov. 9.
