Feminist essay contest launched [Brazil]

Women-identifying writers can compete in this contest.

Instituto Marielle Franco and Editora Contracorrente launched the Marielle Franco Prize for Feminist Essays.

The award aims to promote feminist thinking and defend the memory and struggle of Marielle Franco, a human rights activist murdered on March 14, 2018 in Rio de Janeiro.

Essays must have between 15,000 and 40,000 words, be original and unpublished.

The winner will receive BRL10,000.

The deadline is June 16.
