UNESCO offers filmmaking workshop in Japan [Africa]

Emerging women filmmakers in Burkina Faso, Kenya, Nigeria, Senegal and South Africa can apply for this program.

UNESCO is organizing a filmmaking residency March 29 to April 12, 2020 in Nara, Japan.

Ten women filmmakers will be selected to take part in this immersive workshop and receive artistic, technical and logistical assistance. Participants will complete short films and collaborate with Japanese filmmakers.

Candidates must be between 21 and 35 years old, have a good command of English and some film or audiovisual experience.

The deadline is Jan. 10, 2020.
