KAS media scholarships accepting applications [Sub-Saharan Africa]

Journalists fluent in English ages 30 and younger can apply for this program in Johannesburg, South Africa.

KAS Media Africa is offering a scholarship for a full-time honors or master's degree at the University of Witwatersrand's Journalism Program.

Selected candidates work closely with KAS Media Africa during their stay in Johannesburg and typically write a bimonthly narrative report on their study progress.

The scholarship includes one return flight to Johannesburg, a monthly stipend, accommodation fees and a one-time payment for study material.

For the honors program, candidates must have at least three years of working experience. Candidates must also either have an undergraduate degree or pass an entrance test.

For the master's program, candidates must have a degree equivalent to the BA Hons in journalism and at least three years of working experience.

The deadline is July 8.
