The Khaled Alkhateb Memorial Awards for Best Journalism from a Conflict Zone will honor the work of media professionals and organizations who shed light on the complexities and ramifications of armed conflict. Safety training bursary for independent journalists, filmmakers

The Canadian Journalism Forum on Violence and Trauma is selecting candidates for the Portenier Human Rights Bursary, sponsored by filmmaker Giselle Portenier. Applicants must have experience shedding light on human rights abuses. The winner will receive funds for hazardous environment training from an approved course provider. Fellowship for writers working on longform, nonfiction projects

Journalists who have produced audio stories between three and 60 minutes in a variety of categories can enter this contest from the Third Coast and the Richard H. Driehaus Foundation. The McGraw Center for Business Journalism at the City University of New York's Craig Newmark School of Journalism offers a fellowship program to provide editorial and financial support for in-depth coverage of business and the global economy.
