Leaders at fact-checking organizations who are verified signatories of the International Fact-Checking Network may apply.
The Self-Investigation launches the free program 'Mental Health Leadership for Fact-Checkers,' which aims to empower participants with the skills to cultivate a lasting culture of mental health awareness and action within their teams. In addition, leaders will receive individualized coaching and accompaniment in implementing change.
The program consists of five two-hour online sessions on March 12, April 9, June 11, Sept. 10, and Oct. 8. Participants will learn the basics of mental health and burnout prevention; how to address vicarious trauma and online harassment in the newsroom; how to develop digital boundaries in an always-on culture, and more.
Interested candidates may apply for the program in Spanish or for the program in English.
The deadline is Feb. 8.
