Emerging writers in the U.S. with at least two years of journalistic experience can apply for a fellowship.
Truthout is offering The William Rivers Pitt Fellowship for Emerging Writers. The fellowship seeks a column writing fellow whose work will focus on political commentary.
During this six-month fellowship, the fellow will write quick-turnaround op-eds focused on the political news of the day and produce two to three opinion pieces per week.
The fellow will work 20 hour per week and receive a monthly stipend of US$2,000. The fellow will also receive an internet and phone reimbursement stipend.
This is a remote fellowship.
The deadline is Nov. 30.
