Students and aspiring journalists in India interested in science journalism can apply for this in-person workshop in Bangalore.
India's National Centre for Biological Sciences is hosting its 10th Annual Science Journalism Workshop, to be held on campus from Feb. 12 to 25, 2023.
The workshop aims to equip participants with news and feature writing skills for communicating science to a lay audience. They will learn the elements of good science writing and the art and craft of conducting effective interviews.
The 10 selected participants will be required to commit fully to the workshop. They will interview scientists, and write news and feature stories, which will be edited in class by the instructors.
Accommodation will be provided on campus for out-station participants.
