India-based journalists with experience reporting on renewable energy and the environment can apply for grants.
As part of its Renewable Energy Reporting in India project, Internews' Earth Journalism Network (EJN) is offering grants to support in-depth reporting on the prospects, problems and pathways forward for renewable energy in India, with a focus on renewable energy sources beyond solar, and initiatives to ensure the equitable access to and uptake of renewables among marginalized communities.
Selected journalists will receive an average budget of US$1,200 each to develop their stories, and receive support from experienced mentors through the story production process. Proposals that focus on topics or stories that have not been widely covered are preferred.
Journalists who regularly cover economy, business and energy beats will be given preference.
