Journalists, organizations and teams of journalists can apply for these grants.

Instituto Serrapilheira's science communication program is seeking journalism projects that answer the question: "What's the role science plays in tomorrow's Brazil?" The proposals must explore the connections between science and public interest topics in Brazil, such as politics, economy, international affairs, health, culture, public policies, among others.

Submissions must include a plan to address the main question, a budget, and a letter from the outlet that will be publishing the project.

Selected proposals will be granted up to BRL50,000.

Applications will be open from May 30 to June 6.
