openDemocracy offers investigative journalism fellowship [Uruguay]

Journalists residing in Montevideo, Uruguay, can apply for this opportunity.

openDemocracy is offering a Latin American investigative journalism fellowship. The selected candidate will join the Tracking the Backlash team, which investigates organized opposition to women's and LGBTIQ rights around the world.

The fellow is expected to dedicate 40 hours per week to the six month program on a full-time basis. During those hours, he/she will receive ongoing mentoring and will participate in training workshops. The fellow will also receive a monthly stipend of US$2,100.

Women and those who identify as LGBTIQ are encouraged to apply.

The deadline is April 24.
