John S. Knight Journalism Fellowships, Deadline: Dec. 1
Each year, the John S. Knight Journalism Fellowships selects 20 fellows to spend an academic year at Stanford University. During their fellowship, they have access to some of the world’s most innovative thinkers and organizations, from technology giants to hot new startups to Stanford’s 100-plus special institutes and centers.
Fellows receive a stipend of US$65,000 as well as supplements for housing, childcare, health insurance and moving expenses. Tuition costs at Stanford are also covered. Click here for more information.
Rockefeller Bellagio residency program, Deadline: Dec. 1
International scholars from all disciplines are invited to apply for a residency program in Italy. The Bellagio Residency Program, sponsored by the Rockefeller Foundation, offers participants the opportunity to establish new connections and solve complex global issues. The Rockefeller Foundation seeks applicants with projects that contribute to discourse and progress related to its dual goals: advancing inclusive economies and building resilience. IWMF fellowships, Deadline: Dec. 1
Female journalists of all nationalities can apply for a grant to attend a security training program. Applicants can apply to attend the Hostile Environment and First Aid Training Jan. 22 to 24, 2016 in Nairobi, Kenya, or a security training course of their own choosing. Yale World Fellows program, Deadline: Dec. 2
The 2016 Yale World Fellows Program brings 16 accomplished, midcareer, global leaders to a four-month leadership development program at Yale University. The program runs annually from mid-August to mid-December. Click here for more information.
World Federation of Science Journalists travel scholarship, Deadline: Dec. 15
The World Federation of Science Journalists (WFSJ) is selecting five journalists from around the world to attend the Kavli Prizes Ceremony and Symposia Sept. 3 to 9, 2016 in Oslo, Norway. The winning journalists will be invited to a banquet, the Kavli Prize Laureate Lectures and other events outside Oslo, where they will have the opportunity to interview the laureates. United Nations Democracy Fund grants, Deadline: Dec. 31
The United Nations Democracy Fund (UNDEF) is inviting civil society organizations to apply for funding projects to advance and support democracy. Project grants range between US$100,000 and US$300,000. Click here for more information.
