Sports reporters in the United States can participate in this webinar on covering transgender athletes.
Poynter, with support from the Gill Foundation, is hosting the webinar “Trans in Sport.” The webinar will teach journalists how to thoughtfully, accurately and ethically report stories about gender and sports on the local level.
Participants will receive advice from ESPN reporter Katie Barnes about legislative developments across the U.S., best practices when reporting on gender identity and kids, and lessons learned from reporting on this topic for years.
The webinar will be held on Nov. 16.
