Course focuses on rural radio production [Africa]

Radio journalists in Subsaharan Africa who have a rural show project can apply.

Radios Rurales Internationales is organizing a course on how to produce a rural radio show. The online course will start on Feb. 22 and last 10 weeks.

This online course, offered in French and English, will provide reporters with the knowledge and tools to produce a captivating rural radio show. 

Topics include the identification of the audience and its needs; inventing the concept of a show; reporting, interviewing and storytelling techniques. Each participant will need to create a sample show to complete the course. All participants who complete the training will receive a certificate.

Scholarships are available for reporters in need of financial help.

The deadline is Feb. 12, 2021.
